The name Ribbon and Twine came from the concept of embracing the duality of life. Over the years, the name has spoken to me more and more. Any floral designer will agree, what we do is so much more than play with flowers. While I love that I get to touch each beautiful stem that comes my way, I equally love the feeling of dirt and sweat after a long wedding day. Overalls covered in dirt with a fresh flower in my hat is everything. Nature is both beautiful and chaotic, and I strive to reflect that in my designs.

Originally from Santa Rosa, California, I moved to San Francisco for college in 2004 and went on to live in various cities around the world before returning to Sonoma County in 2024. I started my business, Ribbon and Twine Floral, in 2016 in Boulder, Colorado, relocated in 2020 to Portland, Oregon and now I am finally home, this time with an amazing husband and our two year old son.
I have a degree in floral design from CCSF and have studied directly with some of the top designers including Susan McLeary and Kiana Underwood. I love to create art through flowers with a focus on unique color combinations, elegant seasonal blooms and unique textural elements. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and look forward to hosting workshops and offering one-on-one classes. I hope to meet you!
We are embarking on a fun adventure here in the Sonoma/Marin area. You can currently find me by-appointment at 249 Kentucky Street for consultations and pre-order pick ups. COMING SOON - a floral design studio that will be open to the public with community events and workshops, a curated selection of vases and retail goodies and more. Stay tuned!

Cara was probably one of the best decisions I made on my wedding day (besides my husband). I only gave her about 2 photos to work with for the bouquet and table florals and told her to do whatever she wanted with the ground arrangements. She exceeded every expectation I had, and did it all while staying within budget. She was so sweet and easy to work with and I was blown away by what she created.
